Scott Howard endures the life of an unpopular, struggling athlete and high school student until his hair begins to grow. Suffering with a freak family condition that also plagues his father, he turns into a werewolf. He's petrified that his new hairy persona will isolate him even more, but it actually launches his new life. He dominates on the basketball floor and even gets his dream girl, Pamela Wells, to notice him. The popular life is good until his wolf ego attacks Pamela's boyfriend at a party. Scott decides to forego his animal alter ego and play the last basketball game as himself. To everyone's surprise, the team comes together and plays as one unit, winning the game and endearing the normal Scott to everyone at the school.
