A young girl grieving the sudden death of her father is haunted by the argument they had the last time they saw each other, and the unfinished letter to her that he left behind right before his passing. The girl and her mother move out of the city and settle in a small fishing town, where she comes across a strange book that might be a magical gateway to her healing.
