Tadanobu Asano ("Ichi the Killer") appears in all four tales, naked and disoriented in "Mars Canal"; portraying Rampo's Detective Akechi character in "Mirror Hell" and "The Caterpillar"; and as an unattractive chauffeur obsessed with his beautiful employer in "Crawling Bugs."
