Through their career, YP has set a new standard regarding the "church choir" and show no signs of slowing down. With 20 years in the ministry, YP has undoubtedly learned to trust what God has done and will continue to do for them. Founded in 1992, the choir was birthed out of their home church, Cathedral of Praise in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where the group remains as one of the church's choirs. As their ministry grew they began singing background for artists such as Destiny's Child, Pastor Shirley Caesar, and SWV, to name a few. Since their initial foray into professional music ministry, Hairston and YP have enjoyed many successes, such as countless awards, numerous national television appearances and several hit songs and album releases. The forthcoming release promises to continue YP's legacy of marrying traditional "Sunday Morning" Gospel music with urban, contemporary, and mainstream influences, and boasts guest appearances from label mate James Fortune, as well as Gospel luminaries Pastor John P. Kee, LaShun Pace, Tye Tribbett, and YP mentor, Bishop Hezekiah Walker.
